The mechanism that coordinates cell growth and cell cycle progression remains poorly understood; in particular, whether the cell cycle and cell wall biosynthesis are coordinated remains unclear. Recently, cell wall biosynthesis and cell cycle progression were reported to respond to wounding. Nonetheless, no genes are reported to synchronize the biosynthesis of the cell wall and the cell cycle. Here, we report that wounding induces the expression of genes associated with cell wall biosynthesis and the cell cycle, and that two genes, AtMYB46 in Arabidopsis thaliana and RrMYB18 in Rosa rugosa, are induced by wounding. We found that AtMYB46 and RrMYB18 promote the biosynthesis of the cell wall by upregulating the expression of cell wall-associated genes, and that both of them also upregulate the expression of a battery of genes associated with cell cycle progression. Ultimately, this response leads to the development of curled leaves of reduced size. We also found that the coordination of cell wall biosynthesis and cell cycle progression by AtMYB46 and RrMYB18 is evolutionarily conservative in multiple species. In accordance with wounding promoting cell regeneration by regulating the cell cycle, these findings also provide novel insight into the coordination between cell growth and cell cycle progression and a method for producing miniature plants.  相似文献

该研究以金线莲不同发育时期的花药为材料,采用电子显微镜观察花粉块中的钙离子分布,以揭示钙离子在金线莲花药发育中的相关生理功能。结果发现:(1)在造孢细胞时期,较多的钙沉淀颗粒出现在花药表皮和药室内壁细胞的液泡中,暗示钙离子与植物细胞的液泡发生和形成有关。(2)在减数分裂前期,小孢子母细胞核中聚集了较多的钙沉淀颗粒,当小孢子母细胞分裂时,在二组染色体之间有大量的钙沉淀颗粒,显示钙离子与细胞分裂有关。(3)在合成淀粉的质体表面覆盖了较多的钙沉淀颗粒,显示钙离子与质体中的糖代谢有关。研究表明,开花时在花粉块表面的花粉外壁上和成熟花粉中仍保持有大量的钙沉淀颗粒,为花粉萌发所需钙离子做好了储备。  相似文献

Alien plant species invasiveness and impact on diversity (i.e. species richness and composition) can be driven by the altered competitive interactions experienced by the invader in its invaded range compared to its native range. Trait-based competition effects on invasiveness can be mediated through size-asymmetric competition, i.e. a trait suit of the invader that drives competitive dominance, and through ‘niche differences', i.e. trait differentiation and thus minimized competition between invader and the invaded community. In terms of invasion impact, size-asymmetric competition is expected to result in competitive exclusion of co-occurring subordinate species, whereas ‘niche differences' might result in competitive exclusion of the most functionally similar co-occurring species. Although observational work does not allow the full disentanglement of both trait-based effects, it does allow to verify the occurrence of expected theoretical trait patters. In this study, we explored the trait-based competition effects on invasiveness and diversity impact for Rosa rugosa in both its invaded range in Belgium and its native range in Japan, based on seven functional traits across 100 vegetation plots. Following the predictions for enhanced invasiveness, we found much lower functional overlap between R. rugosa and the co-occurring species in the invaded range compared to the native range. This likely also explains the absence of diversity impact in its native range. Despite the absence of changes in species richness in the invaded range, the invader did strongly impact species composition of invaded communities. This impact occurred through strong shade tolerance responses, suggesting size-asymmetric competition effects and cover loss of co-occurring dominant species, next to exclusion of co-occurring species most functionally similar to the invader; suggesting niche difference effects. In conclusion, this case-study illustrates how exploring functional trait patterns across a species native and invaded range can help in understanding how trait-based competition processes can affect invasiveness and community impact.  相似文献

以吉林珲春自然群落的野生玫瑰(Rosa rugosa Thunb.)为试验材料,探究野生玫瑰在果实形成过程中种子的发育及休眠性的形成和变化。选取青果期(1~35 d)、转色期(35~60 d)、红果期(60~75 d)的果实及种子,结合形态学、组织细胞学观察法及高效液相色谱技术,对果实各发育时期的种子形态、种胚及内果皮的发育进行研究,并分析种子内源激素含量变化与果实发育、种子休眠之间的关系。结果表明:果实和种子在青果期(1~35 d)时发育速度最快,种胚在花后24 d发育完全,种子不存在形态休眠。花后24 d内果皮开始沉积木质素并逐渐木质化,种子开始产生机械休眠。种子激素含量的变化与果实的发育、转色及内果皮的木质化密切相关,种子内源GA3和ABA含量在青果期(1~35 d)达到峰值,内源IAA含量在果实转色期(35~60 d)达到最大值,高浓度的ABA含量是种子尚未脱离果实时便已进入生理休眠的主要原因。  相似文献

疏花蔷薇与现代月季品种及其杂交后代的染色体核型分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以疏花蔷薇(Rosa laxa,2n=2x=14)和现代月季品种‘Kardinal’、‘Solidor’、‘Yuzen’(2n=4x=28)为亲本进行杂交,杂交组合疏花蔷薇בKardinal’、疏花蔷薇בSolidor’、‘Yuzen’×疏花蔷薇分别获得5株、5株和6株杂交后代。采用常规压片法,对亲本及杂交后代的染色体数目和核型进行了分析。结果显示:杂交后代中除疏花蔷薇בKardinal’组合有1株为二倍体外,其余15株均为三倍体;疏花蔷薇的核型为12m+2sm,属1A型;现代月季品种‘Kardinal’、‘Solidor’、‘Yuzen’的核型分别为28m、28m、24m(2SAT)+4sm,核型类型分别为1A、1B、2B型;疏花蔷薇בKardinal’组合的F1代包括1A、1B和2A等3种核型;疏花蔷薇בSolidor’组合的F1代包括1A和1B等2种核型;‘Yuzen’×疏花蔷薇组合的F1代包括1A、1B和2B等3种核型。根据染色体数目和形态分析结果确定,获得的三倍体后代为真杂种,但对于二倍体后代的杂种真实性不能做出判断。  相似文献

遮荫对月季光合特性及生长发育的影响   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
采用人工遮荫法研究不同程度遮荫(75%、50%和25%全光照,以全光照为对照)处理对月季的生长发育、光合特性及叶绿素荧光参数的影响。结果表明:(1)随着遮荫程度的增加,月季的叶片厚度、花径、成花率均呈降低趋势,叶绿素含量呈增加趋势;净光合速率(Pn)、蒸腾速率(Tr)、气孔导度(Gs)、胞间CO2浓度(Ci)降低,气孔限制值(Ls)升高,Pn下降的主要原因可能为气孔限制。(2)月季在遮荫条件下的光饱和点和光补偿点、暗呼吸速率下降,表现出其对光照降低的生理适应机制;其光饱和点在600~1 200μmol·m-2·s-1,光补偿点在29.89~62.95μmol·m-2·s-1,CO2补偿点在78.16~89.41μmol·mol-1,CO2饱和点在1 100μmol·mol-1左右,潜在光合能力13.06~25.63μmol·m-2·s-1,其对光的适应范围较宽,光照和CO2浓度对其光合能力的影响较大。(3)各处理条件下叶绿素荧光参数显示,月季在自然光和低光下(50%和25%全光照)叶片PSⅡ受到了明显伤害,光合作用原初反应过程受到抑制,光合电子传递受到影响。研究发现,月季虽是阳生植物,但光照生态幅较宽,轻度遮荫(75%全光照)能促进其光合作用效率,减少光抑制,植株长势好,成花率高。  相似文献

以‘光叶蔷薇’(Rosa wichuriana ‘Basye’s thornless’)无菌苗的顶生幼嫩小叶为外植体,探讨了其愈伤组织诱导及植株再生的方法。结果表明,高浓度的生长素NAA能诱导外植体产生愈伤组织;由NAA诱导的愈伤组织在附加TDZ的MS培养基上,先暗培养再进行光照培养可直接分化出不定芽。诱导愈伤组织的最佳NAA浓度是7.0 mg/L、暗培养时间为10 d,而最佳分化培养基是MS + 5.0 mg/L TDZ + 30 g/L葡萄糖 + 2.5 g/L GEL,分化率达18.34%。以诱导产生的愈伤组织为侵染受体,初步建立了‘光叶蔷薇’GUS基因转化体系。农杆菌菌液浓度OD600值为0.5、侵染30 min、共培养2 d、乙酰丁香酮的浓度为50 μmol/L是'光叶蔷薇’愈伤组织转基因的最优条件。  相似文献

Apical control is defined as the inhibition of basal axillary bud outgrowth by an upper actively growing axillary axis, whose regulation is poorly understood yet differs markedly from the better-known apical dominance. We studied the regulation of apical control by environmental factors in decapitated Rosa hybrida in order to remove the apical hormonal influence and nutrient sink. In this plant model, all the buds along the main axis have a similar morphology and are able to burst in vitro. We concentrated on the involvement of light intensity and nitrate nutrition on bud break and axillary bud elongation in the primary axis pruned above the fifth leaf of each rose bush. We observed that apical control took place in low light (92 μmol m−2 s−1), where only the 2-apical buds grew out, both in low (0.25 mM) and high (12.25 mM) nitrate. In contrast, in high light (453 μmol m−2 s−1), the apical control only operates in low nitrate while all the buds along the stem grew out when the plant was supplied with a high level of nitrate. We found a decreasing photosynthetic activity from the top to the base of the plant concomitant with a light gradient along the stem. The quantity of sucrose, fructose, glucose and starch are higher in high light conditions in leaves and stem. The expression of the sucrose transporter RhSUC2 was higher in internodes and buds in this lighting condition, suggesting an increased capacity for sucrose transport. We propose that light intensity and nitrogen availability both contribute to the establishment of apical control.  相似文献

One of the key measures of the effectiveness of primary seed dispersal by animals is the quality of seed dispersal (Schupp: Plant Ecol 107/108 [1993] 15–29). We present data on quality of seed dispersal by two groups of white‐faced capuchins (Cebus capucinus) in Costa Rica to test the hypothesis that capuchin seed handling results in effective primary dispersal for some fruit species they consume. We examined seed handling for 27 plant species, and germination rates of 18 species consumed by capuchins. For five of the most commonly swallowed seed species, we determined germination rates and average time to germination (latency) for seeds ingested and defecated by capuchins and compared these to seeds removed directly from fruit and planted. For the same five species, we compared germination rates and latency for passed seeds planted in capuchin feces to those cleaned of feces and planted in soil. For three of five species, differences in proportion of germinated seeds were significantly higher for gut passed seeds than for controls. For four of five species, germination latency was significantly faster for gut passed seeds than for controls. Feces had either no effect on seed germination rate or precluded germination.
